Take an organic farm tour and see for yourself how healthy and nutrient rich fruit and vegetables are grown without the use of harmful pesticides and fertilisers. Organic farm tours are a wonderful way to get back to natural and sustainable living.

Comfort Organic Farm

Comfort Organic Farm is a five acre farm which grows a large variety of fruit and vegetables including dragon fruit, banana, melon, pumpkin, sweetcorn, okra, spinach and cabbage.

Package 1:
Farm tour for 1½ hours + 1 bottle of drinking water + 1 piece of sweet corn (eat in farm). Price: RM10/pax.

Package 2:
Farm tour for 1½ hours + -Swiftlet farming introductory tour ½ hours +
1 bottle of drinking water +1 piece of sweet corn (eat in farm) +
1 bowl of bird’s nest soup served simmered in coconut water. Price: RM45/pax.

Green Acres Orchard and Eco Lodge

Green Acres is a chemical free 16-acre orchard, 3km from Balik Pulau town, with over 500 fruit trees, mainly which are durian, seasonal tropical fruits and nutmeg. During the season, June to August, you can take a durian outing and try different varieties of durian. An orchard tour is available all year round with a minimum 10 pax. Bookings in advance. They practice sustainable living and have an eco-lodge run mainly by solar power and with piped spring water and a treehouse.

I-Veg Organic farm is a 3 hectare farm which is located in Kampung Wellesley, Seberang Perai Selatan, Penang surrounded by hills, woods, streams and ponds. They offer guided tours where you can learn more about growing organic food. Advance booking required. i-veg organic farm

Wonder Wilderfarm is a community project promoting sustainable agriculture and lifestyle. One of the ways they do this is the monthly Funmers Life Market which aims to bring together people who are interested in a sustainable living and protection of the environment. Held on the first Sunday of the month from 8am to 12pm, they also offer the opportunity to tour the organic farm.

Also located at Pusat Agropelancongan, Healthy Natural Farming grow and supply organic fruits and vegetables. Their products can be found at Aeon Supermarket in Queensbay Mall as well as the Organic Farmers’ Market at Straits Quay on the third Sunday of the month and Funmers Life Market on the first Sunday of the month. Tours can be organised by contacting Lee Kok Leong.
