You can’t miss the cafe, housed in a pre-war house on Lebuh Queen, with its psychedelic walls and plenty of plants and greenery. Inside, the whitewashed wooden beamed ceiling, blue walls and the eclectic choice of furniture give the interior a definite “shabby chic” feeling.
Chai Diam Ma has a small menu. For those looking for meat free, they do have two vegetarian udon noodle dishes served with either mushrooms or garlic and bell peppers. However, what is appealing are the most delicious and healthy sounding juices. Made from 100% fresh fruit and sugar free, choose from lemon basil, lime mint, watermelon dragonfruit and carrot ginger among others.
The lime mint was quite tart and a little bitter, but the syrup given on the side sweetens it if needed.
Whilst waiting for your food or drink, take a look at the display of handmade arts and crafts. Chai Diam Ma supports local artists who have a chance to showcase their work and get most of the profits.
